Dear Local Business Owners:

The Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club would like to ask for your help.  We are currently gathering gifts and major prizes for our 26th annual “Big Event” fundraiser, which will be held on Saturday April 4, 2009 at The Club at Nevillewood.

“The Big Event” is a reverse raffle, in which we sell approximately 225 tickets at $125.00 each. Those purchasing tickets have the opportunity to win over $10,000 in cash and prizes, all of which are either donated by local businesses or by those purchasing tickets to our event. In order to reach our goal of raising $18,000 for local charities, we are asking local businesses to assist us in aiding those in need by contributing a major prize of over $150.00 towards this great cause.

Over the past 25 years, the Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club has raised over $450,000 for local charities in the Chartiers Valley area.  Some of the charities that we donate to include the Chartiers Boys and Girls Club, Meals on Wheels, local food banks, Family Hospice and The Salvation Army.  Last year, our “Shoes That Fit” program provided over 60 pairs of new shoes for local grade school children.

We appreciate your willingness to make a difference in the community and we will also be delighted to acknowledge your company’s contribution in our program during the evening of our event.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely Yours in Rotary,

Richard C. Meyer
Big Event Committee
